You can buy more LGPS pension by paying Additional Pension Contributions (APCs).

You can also make  Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) (PDF) [3MB] (opens new window)  to our in-house AVC scheme administered by Prudential. Full details and online application are available on their website. You can call the Prudential on 0345 600 0343.

There are HMRC limits on the amount of contributions you can pay.

There are also HMRC controls on the pension savings you can have before you become subject to a tax charge. Most people will not be affected by these controls.
